Posion - Donor Coordinator – Full Time

This is an Ontario-based remote/hybrid role with occasional travel across Canada for fundraising events, team meengs and other related CPFF work.

Summary of the Role

The Donor Coordinator plays a key role in supporng CPFF’s mission by assisng with and coordinang fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship acvies, and community fundraising events under the designated lead's direcon. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relaonships, organizing impacul events, supporng fundraising iniaves, and creang meaningful donor experiences that strengthen community engagement and financial sustainability.

The ideal candidate is people-oriented, proacve, technology-comfortable, and able to take iniave while working collaboravely with a small team.

Key Responsibilies

  • Support the development and delivery of annual fundraising and donor engagement plans.
  • Coordinate donor communicaons, recognion, and impact reporng.
  • Build and maintain posive relaonships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Assist in preparing sponsorship packages, grant submissions, and fundraising proposals.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events such as charity walks, awareness campaigns, and online appeals.
  • Input, maintain and download reports from donor databases, ensuring records of contribuons and interacons are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the markeng and communicaons team to develop fundraising content and materials, using digital tools and shared plaorms to support mely communicaon and coordinaon.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Track and evaluate fundraising results; prepare progress and event reports.
  • Other dues as assigned, including taking iniave to support fundraising, donor stewardship, events, and team priories as needs arise.

Successful Candidate:

The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment, staying connected with a small team, and travelling when required. They need to be people-oriented, proacve, comfortable with technology, and able to take iniave while working collaboravely with a small team. The ability to assist with social media will be an asset.

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience in fundraising, events, and/or donor relaons is required
  • Diploma or degree in Fundraising, Communicaons, Markeng, or Nonprofit Management (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in the charitable or nonprofit sector preferred.
  • A CFRE or fundraising cerficate is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communicaon skills – writen and verbal.
  • Strong organizaonal and project management abilies.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage mulple priories.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microso Office 365, Google Workspace, and Dropbox required
  • Previous experience and intermediate level of proficiency in using Canada Helps, One Cause, and WordPress plaorms
  • Ability to learn soware easily, including in-house CRM/data management programs and other digital tools used to support donor relaons, events, and team communicaon.
  • Creave thinker with a posive, can-do atude.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote/hybrid environment and as part of a small team.
  • Coordinate event logiscs such as awareness walks, webinars, and donor or sponsor meengs
  • Familiarity with social media or design tools (e.g., Canva) is an asset.
  • Confident using technology and willing to explore tools that enhance digital efficiency, producvity, donor management, event coordinaon, and communicaon.
  • Must hold a valid driver's licence, have access to reliable transportaon, and be comfortable driving to events, meengs, and other CPFF-related acvies as required.

Occupaonal Requirements:

This posion supports approximately 10 to 20 events per year and involves extended periods of standing and walking (up to 10 hours on event days). Dues include event setup, teardown, and supply preparaon, which may require liing or moving materials up to 50 lbs. Some events may take place in the evenings or on weekends.
