Donor Ambassador Volunteer

Are you looking for a position where you can impact the local community? As a Donor Ambassador volunteer, you will connect virtually with individual donors over the phone to provide personal acknowledgement and thanks for their valued support.

Purpose

Provide personal acknowledgement to individual donors by completing thank you phone calls.

Responsibilities

• Complete sincere and personal donor thank you calls using an internet based calling system
• Document conversation notes and/or updated donor information
• Answer donor inquiries where possible
• Understand and uphold Food Banks Mississauga’s confidentiality guidelines to protect donor privacy

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a mature, warm, and friendly demeanor
• Access to the Internet, your own phone and computer, as well as a quiet place at home to make phone calls
• Comfortable speaking to others with an ability to convey sincere gratitude over the phone
• Caring and committed, with a demonstrated passion to further Food Banks Mississauga’s mission

Reports to: Individual Giving & Stewardship Manager

Location: Remote

Time Commitment: Approximately 3 hours per week. Volunteers must be willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months.

Training Provided: Ongoing training and support, including a virtual onboarding training session.
