Due to the impact of addiction on families, specialized programs and support are offered for loved ones and family members, including children.

About the position
Reporting the Chief Executive Officer, The Director of Programs is an integral member of the Senior Leadership team, responsible for leading the development and delivery of all clinical programs and overseeing general operations within Renascent’s treatment centres. Aligned with Renascent’s values of person-centered care, and high quality, evidence-based treatment, the Director of Programs works collaboratively across the organization to promote continuous quality improvement and excellent treatment and care.

Key Responsibilities
Senior Organizational Leadership:

● Work collaboratively with other senior leaders and the Board of Directors in the development and achievement of the organization’s strategic and annual plans.
● Ensure that all programs are evidence-informed, person-centered and consistent with organizational vison and values.
● Ensure strong continuous quality improvement plan and process is in place. Identify key quality improvement goals based on evidence and incorporate client feedback in program review and changes.
● Develop and oversee Renascent’s plan for program evaluation and clinical research.
● Lead clinical and program policy review and development. Oversee service related risk prevention policies and crisis management.
● Ensure effective incident reporting and investigation process is in place.
● Ensure effective budget management and control within clinical programs.
● Provide close, effective liaison with other Renascent teams, including Physicians, Business Development, Access Centre, Finance and Fundraising teams.
● Provide staff support and leadership for the Board of Directors and Board Committees, specifically the Client Program and Quality Committee.
● Represent Renascent and build relationship with the Ministry of Health, other government bodies, health system networks, universities and other system organizations.

Leadership of the Clinical Programs and Teams:

● Provide strong support and leadership to Renascent’s clinical managers through regular coaching, meetings, communications and feedback.
● Ensure strong and regular presence and excellent engagement within all Renascent treatment facilities and across all program teams.
● Provide clinical consultation to teams as needed regarding complex clients and provide regular clinical supervision for clinical managers.
● Ensure inclusion and an anti-oppression framework is in place within all clinical programs.
● Drive professional development for all program delivery and support staff
● Provide clinical supervision for Business Development and Access Centre staff as required
● Ensure on-going and timely communication with the Chief Executive Officer regarding key matters. Immediate communication with the Chief Executive Officer in the event of critical or high-risk situations.

Qualifications:

● Current Professional Designation/Registration with relevant College (such as Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy), and/or Masters Level degree in psychology or social work.
● Highly specialized education/knowledge of addiction, addiction treatment and concurrent disorders and best practices.
● Five or more years of experience in leadership positions with a senior/high level of responsibility.
● Comprehensive understanding of 12-step recovery and abstinence-based approaches.
