The Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) represents over 220 not-for-profit organizations that provide essential services helping seniors and people with disabilities live independently at home. As system reforms continue, OCSA is uniquely positioned to influence the future delivery and accessibility of home care and community support services across the province.

We are seeking an experienced leader for a short-term contract (to cover a parental leave) to advance our advocacy, policy, and public affairs agenda. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape legislation and policy, strengthen relationships with government and sector stakeholders, and lead a high-performing Communications and Advocacy team.

What you’ll do

  • Lead advocacy initiatives and develop OCSA’s positions on key sector issues.
  • Monitor policy developments and identify opportunities to advance our priorities.
  • Build relationships with elected officials, policymakers, and sector leaders.
  • Provide timely policy updates to members, staff, and the Board.
  • Represent OCSA at conferences, webinars, and sector forums.

What you bring

  • Degree or equivalent experience in health/public policy or government relations, ideally in home and community care
  • 5+ years’ experience in policy analysis and advocacy.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and analytical abilities.
