ROLE

We are looking for a curious, collaborative, and growth-oriented individual to spend approximately 3-5 hours per week working with our team in direct contribution to organizational objectives. Reporting to the VP, marketing and fundraising, the marketing director will gain valuable experience in, and is responsible for, the following.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Director, Marketing & Communications, you will work collaboratively across the organization to strengthen Endeavour’s brand and reach in the skills-based volunteering and pro bono consulting field in Canada.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Executing marketing and communications strategies, plans and messages that enhance Endeavour's brand, reach and credibility with non-profit leaders/organizations (clients), professionals (volunteers), corporations (partners/clients), funders and donors
  • Creating marketing and communications materials, including impact stories/reports and sponsorship/donor reports
  • Managing various outreach channels, including the website, social media, mailing lists and events
  • Promoting the Endeavour brand and ensuring consistency across mediums
  • Managing images and videos, including planning, execution and storage
  • Maintaining and communicating standards, processes and guidelines

As Director, you will also be responsible for management and leadership functions, including:

  • Recruiting and managing direct reports to carry out responsibilities of the division
  • Working with direct reports to develop annual objectives and discuss personal volunteer goals
  • Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to set and achieve strategic goals
  • Reporting updates to the Board of Directors as required
  • Participating in regular meetings with the executive team and direct reports
  • Overseeing the division’s budget and ensuring the division adheres to financial policies
  • Maintaining organizational information for the division on the corporate portal

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Relevant marketing, communications and event planning experience, including experience in multiple traditional and digital channels
  • Excellent leadership, management, teamwork and communications skills
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail and results-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual work environment
  • Minimum 2 years commitment

Assets:

  • Experience writing for various audiences and channels
  • Knowledge of graphic design, visual design and user experience design and software
  • Industry connections
  • Endeavour or similar pro bono/skills-based volunteering experience
