A clinical leadership opportunity to help empower children, youth and families across York Region through their mental health journey.

ABOUT YORK HILLS

York Hills Centre for Children, Youth and Families (York Hills) is a not-for-profit community-based children’s mental health centre that provides a spectrum of high-quality services to children and youth ages 0-18 years, and their families, who live in York Region. York Hills’ assessment and treatment services include: individual, family and group counselling; community and in-school clinical supports; residential (live-in) services; day treatment services; brief therapy; and alternative dispute resolution. York Hills was formed in 2018 following the amalgamation of Blue Hills Child and Family Centre and The York Centre for Children, Youth and Families. Today, the agency brings expertise in treating the social, emotional and behavioural challenges of children, youth, and their families. Serving York Region through two office locations, in Aurora and Richmond Hill, and day treatment classrooms across the region, York Hills’ dedicated team of professionals serves nearly 5,500 children, youth, and families each year. The organization has a staff team of approximately 176, and an annual operating budget of $18.5 million.

THE OPPORTUNITY

York Hills is looking to recruit a new Director of Intensive Services (Director) to lead intensive mental health services within the agency’s residential, day treatment, and community programs, fostering a culture of client-centred care across the continuum of service delivery. The Director provides professional guidance on removing client service barriers and leads a team of committed staff via seven clinical managers.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director partners with the leadership team in the strategic planning, system design, implementation and sustainability of integrated clinical programs to achieve York Hills’ service initiatives. Externally, the Director represents and promotes both the organization and the mental health needs of children, youth and families in York Region by participating in various community activities and planning tables and by working in partnership with community stakeholders.
