ORGANIZATION
Based in Toronto, Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits is a Canadian charity, 100% volunteer-led that provides management consulting to improve organizational capacity and community impact for non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting.
Endeavour has two consulting engagement rounds during the year, in the fall and in the spring. For each round, Endeavour will recruit and match teams of skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations in need of pro bono consulting.
Since 2007, Endeavour has engaged more than 1000 volunteers on over 134 projects, delivering more than $8 million in pro bono consulting to local, national and international non-profits based in Canada. Endeavour’s partnerships with leading corporations in Canada offer pro bono and skills-based volunteering opportunities that contribute to employee engagement, professional and leadership development, talent retention and corporate responsibility goals.

ROLE
Endeavour is seeking a hands-on Director, Information Systems to ensure optimal operation of cloud-based systems within the IT Division. In this volunteer role, you will manage the delivery, architecture, integration and support of SalesForce CRM. Your contributions will modernize technology operations across the organization and help propel Endeavour into its next stage of growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop a high-performing IS Team of administrators and developers.
- Research and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the use of SalesForce
- Partner with the VP, Information Technology to ensure cloud-based solutions meet evolving organizational and stakeholder needs.
- Ensure that Endeavour fully leverages the full features and benefits of Salesforce
- Manage cloud-based system administration, including user access, backup, update management, system security configurations and system performance stability
- Manage day-to-day operations such as triaging user requests, maintaining dashboards and reporting needs within Salesforce
- Assisting the Vice President in identifying, developing and refining IT/IS plans that are aligned with Endeavour’s long-term strategic objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Long-term commitment (1-2+ years) to Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits
- Broad knowledge of Salesforce
- Understanding of current technology, tools and platforms
- Ability to engage in strategic issues
- Ability to effectively manage team members
- Understanding of the general concepts of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- 4 or more years of Salesforce administration experience
- Salesforce certification is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to take a lead on identifying and implementing new initiatives
- Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, to understand user requirements and suggest solutions based on diverse stakeholder’s needs
- Detail oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take a lead on identifying and implementing new initiatives
- Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, to understand user requirements and suggest solutions based on diverse stakeholder’s needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in non-profit sector
Preferred:
- Endeavour volunteer experience
- Understanding of client relationship management platforms
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
