The UBC Sauder Development and Alumni Engagement team has a mission to inspire involvement and investment in UBC Sauder to drive innovation, further business knowledge and lead change for a better world. The development team is responsible for leveraging individual philanthropy and business partnerships in support of priority initiatives of the school.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Development & Alumni Engagement, the Director of Development will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and monitoring of unit goals, managing and evaluating a dynamic fundraising team, supporting development strategies, and the coordination of projects. The Director will uphold fundraising best practices to ensure that strategic objectives are met. This role will support partnerships with faculty and senior leadership to facilitate maximum support and assist on various fundraising projects.
The ideal candidate will bring a considerable depth of experience in team management, inclusive behavior and practices, and a thorough understanding of fundraising, ideally in a University environment. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, discretion, and sound judgment are required. Compensation Range: $118,311 (Min.) – $ 147,757 (Mid.) – $184,569 (Max.) CAD Annually
The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
