Friendly Times Community Connections (FTCC) is seeking a Volunteer Director of Development to join our leadership team and help advance our mission of supporting children, youth, and families across the Greater Toronto Area.

Friendly Times Community Connections is a registered charitable organization dedicated to strengthening families through community-based programs, family supports, children's initiatives, and innovative services designed to meet emerging needs.
Position Overview
The Volunteer Director of Development will provide strategic leadership in fundraising, donor relations, sponsorship development, and resource mobilization. This individual will work closely with the Founder, Board of Directors, and leadership team to support the organization's growth and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement fundraising and resource development strategies
• Identify and cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community partners
• Support grant research and funding opportunities
• Assist with fundraising campaigns and special events
• Build and maintain donor stewardship practices
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives
• Support the development of sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to the leadership team
Qualifications
• Experience in fundraising, development, sales, business development, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, or related fields
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Passion for community impact and social change
• Previous nonprofit experience is considered an asset but is not required

Time Commitment
Approximately 5–10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
