About the Okanagan Science Centre
The Okanagan Science Centre (OSC) is a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to inspiring curiosity, discovery, and lifelong learning through hands-on science experiences. OSC is entering a transformative period, including a major capital campaign to relocate into a fully accessible facility that will serve as a regional hub for science education in the North Okanagan.
The Opportunity
The Director of Corporate Sponsorship & Partnerships plays a critical leadership role in advancing the Okanagan Science Centre’s fundraising and partnership strategy during a period of significant growth. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for securing, stewarding, and growing corporate sponsorships, partnerships, and revenue-generating collaborations to support both operating priorities and a multi-year capital campaign.
This position is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser with a strong track record in corporate sponsorship, business development, and partnership activation.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Sponsorship & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate sponsorship strategy aligned with organizational priorities and capital campaign goals.
- Identify, cultivate and solicit, corporate partners across sponsorships, naming opportunities, program support, and events.
- Secure new sponsorships while growing and renewing existing corporate relationships.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective corporate partners and sponsors.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements and ensure fulfillment of recognition and activation commitments
- Develop compelling sponsorship packages and proposals tied to exhibits, programs, spaces, and community impact.
Capital Campaign Support
- Play a lead role in securing corporate contributions toward OSC’s capital campaign.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, board members, and campaign volunteers on sponsorship strategy and solicitations.

Stewardship, Recognition & Activation
- Ensure excellent stewardship of corporate partners through regular communication, impact reporting, and engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications staff to deliver meaningful recognition and activation opportunities.
- Track sponsorship deliverables to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Strategy, Planning & Reporting
- Contribute to annual fundraising planning, revenue forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of sponsorship activity and revenue in CRM or tracking systems.
- Report regularly to the Executive Director on progress, pipeline, and performance metrics.
Collaboration & Representation
- Represent the Okanagan Science Centre at community, business, and networking events.
- Work collaboratively with board members, staff, and volunteers to advance partnership opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in corporate sponsorship, fundraising, or business development.
- Demonstrated success securing five- and six-figure corporate contributions or sponsorships.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience working with non-profits, cultural organizations, or capital campaigns is a strong asset.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising best practices.
- Post-secondary education in fundraising, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation: Base Salary $70,000 plus incentive opportunities based on revenue generation and partnership outcomes
