About Community Compassion Centre
Community Compassion Centre (CCC) is an independent registered charity and Ottawa Food Bank member agency serving neighbours in K1C in Orléans, Ontario, Canada. CCC provides food-bank services grounded in compassion, dignity, respect, and responsible stewardship.
In 2025, CCC served 1,433 unique individuals from 415 households and provided more than 30,000 days of food support to neighbours in K1C.
CCC has reached an important stage in its development. Growing community need and CCC’s transition to independent charitable status have created an immediate need to expand and diversify financial and in-kind support.
Position Overview
The Director, Community Engagement leads CCC’s external engagement, community partnership, donor stewardship, and fundraising activities. The primary purpose of the role is to increase financial and in-kind support by building strong, sustained relationships with businesses, community organizations, service clubs, faith communities, donors, and other prospective partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a small community-based charity. The Director will personally lead relationship development and fundraising activity rather than manage a large development team. The Director will be expected to initiate outreach, secure meetings, present partnership opportunities, make appropriate funding requests, follow up consistently, and maintain a disciplined prospect and partnership pipeline.
The Director reports to the Board through the Board Chair and works collaboratively with the Director, Operations to ensure that engagement initiatives align with CCC’s operational capacity, priorities, and services.
Scope of Responsibility
