Director of Communications for Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada

We are looking for someone to fill our Director of Communication position on the Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada Board of Directors. As a board member, you would assist in planning and decision making, and play a critical role in shaping the strategies and future growth of BECC! As Director of Communication, you would lead internal and external messaging to build reputation and advance strategic goals. Below is a description of the position.

DIRECTOR of COMMUNICATION
A dynamic role, the focus of this position involves leading BECC’s information process and external messaging, including storytelling, branding, marketing, and outreach via digital communications such as social media posting to increase visibility, mobilize supporters, and advance mission-driven goals. The director would oversee the Communication Committee and potentially direct the BECC website team. The ideal candidate will be a media-savvy communicator with expertise in social media management, content creation, and community engagement with strong leadership skills.
