Position Summary:

It is important to Woodview to reflect a forward-thinking, strength-based approach to strategic development. This new role will be responsible for exploring innovative funding opportunities and ensuring organizational resilience.

The Director of Business Transformation will be responsible for driving the sustainability and growth of Woodview’s fee-for-service programs and fundraising initiatives. The Director of Business Transformation will provide strategic leadership, focusing on both income diversification (earned and contributed) and internal systems optimization for sustainable growth. The Director of Business Transformation will lead the development of a business model for revenue-generating activities that aligns with Woodview’s overall strategic plan, emphasizing sustainability and alignment with our mission, vision, values.

The Director of Business Transformation will work closely with the senior leadership team, Communications & Fundraising Manager, and accounting team to forecast and evaluate the financial and operational health of the organization. The Director of Business Transformation will also collaborate, engage, and build relationships with a wide range of partners including Ministry funders, community partners, and supporters in planning processes.

Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Fee-For-Service Transition – Complete the transition from a fully funded model to a fully fee-for-service model with the development of a business model for revenue-generating activities, setting the groundwork for Woodview as a core competitor in the Ontario Autism Program landscape.
  • Income Diversification – Exploring opportunities for expansion of non-Ministry programs, including fee-for-service mental health services and other community partnership opportunities outside of Ministry funded programs.
  • Fundraising & Development – Solidify Woodview’s fundraising and development plan, working closely with the Communications & Fundraising Manager on the fundraising budget, targets, and goals for sustainability.
  • Service Transformation – Support Woodview through its financial and service transition to Journey to Belonging, with emphasis on solidifying Woodview as a core competitor in the adult developmental services sector.
  • LongTerm Strategic Planning – Operationalize and deploy a business model to ensure long-term sustainability and success guided by strategic goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES.

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Post-graduate degree considered an asset (i.e. Master of Business Administration).
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership or strategic management roles, ideally in non-profit, healthcare, social services, mental health, autism or developmental services sectors.
  • Experience developing business plans and models informed by data and guided by strategic goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and organizational change management.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies (Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of person-centered care and fee-for-service funding models including Ontario Autism Program and Journey to Belonging.
  • Strong understand of fundraising and donor relations experience.
  • Track record in major gift fundraising, capital campaigns, or grant acquisition.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
