Volunteer Type: In Person

Location: 3333 Finch Ave east – Terrace Restaurant

Volunteer Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays 10am-2pm, Thursdays 4pm-7pm

Volunteers Needed: 4

Reports to: Food, Beverage, and Hospitality Services Manager

Position Summary:

Support Terrace Restaurant staff by washing dishes, putting away clean dishes and cutlery, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen work area.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, cutlery, and other items as directed.
• Store clean dishes and cutlery in designated cupboards and storage areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the assigned work area.
• Follow cleaning instructions and safe work procedures.
• Promptly report incidents, hazards, or concerns about a client’s condition to the supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications:

• A friendly manner, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to relate well to seniors.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English and follow instructions.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Physical ability to carry trays of dishes safely.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning and sanitation practices is an asset.
