Position Overview

The Digital Marketing & Grant Research Support Volunteer/Intern plays a dual role in supporting the organization’s digital outreach and funding initiatives. This position combines content support, marketing coordination, and grant research to help strengthen both community engagement and organizational sustainability.

Working closely with the Marketing Team, this role contributes to content planning, campaign support, and digital communications, while also assisting with identifying grant opportunities and organizing funding-related information.

This position reports directly to the CEO & COO, providing administrative and strategic support to ensure alignment between marketing efforts, program goals, and funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities (Context for Role Fit)

Digital Marketing Support

  • Assist in planning and scheduling social media content
  • Support creation of captions, posts, and basic visuals
  • Help promote programs, events, and campaigns
  • Monitor engagement and assist with audience interaction
  • Maintain consistency in branding and messaging

Grant Research Support

  • Research potential grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities
  • Track deadlines, eligibility, and application requirements
  • Assist in organizing grant documents and application materials
  • Support basic proposal drafting and information gathering
  • Maintain a grant tracking system

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to align content with organizational goals
  • Support leadership with administrative, research, and reporting tasks
  • Ensure communication and coordination between marketing and funding efforts
  • Assist in organizing digital files, reports, and documentation

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good written communication skills (clear and professional)
  • Ability to conduct research and summarize information effectively
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

  • Interest or experience in marketing, communications, or grant writing
  • Familiarity with content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.)
  • Experience with research, reporting, or proposal writing
  • Basic understanding of nonprofit operations
  • Experience using tracking tools (Google Sheets, Airtable, etc.)

Work Structure & Reporting

  • Works closely with the Marketing Team for content and campaign coordination
  • Reports directly to the CEO & COO for strategic direction and task alignment
  • Collaborates with program and administrative teams as needed
