Using analytics, systems thinking, audience insight, and iterative testing, the role delivers reliable, high-performing digital actions that strengthen participation and support values-driven impact.

As a key member of the Advocacy & Government Engagement (AGE) team, the Specialist ensures digital advocacy is effectively integrated across supporter journeys by managing engagement platforms, executing communications, and translating campaign objectives into clear, meaningful actions for the public. The role supports continuous improvement through testing, performance tracking, and the use of innovative tools to keep AGE engagement strategies adaptive, relevant, and effective.

Responsibilities

1. Digital Platforms & Engagement Infrastructure (30%)

  • Lead the Advocacy & Government Engagement team’s digital engagement builds by configuring, managing, and deploying email and website experiences within Adobe and related platforms to support public mobilization and advocacy priorities.
  • Own the day-to-day management of advocacy engagement platforms (e.g., New/Mode), including campaign builds, testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Support the setup, testing, and operation of new and experimental engagement tools (e.g., Rise, phone or SMS lines), working with internal and external partners to pilot, troubleshoot, and assess their effectiveness.
  • Develop scalable digital experiences that grow a community of advocates by enabling repeat action, sustained engagement, and meaningful supporter progression across campaigns.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on digital advocacy platforms and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot journey logic, form functionality, and data flow issues as they arise.

2. Content Creation & Digital Execution (30%)

  • Develop key message guidelines, audience frameworks and responsive content using data-driven insights, testing, and user research to improve relevance and performance across supporter journeys.
  • Collaborate with internal Communications specialists, digital marketing, MarTech, external vendors and other relevant teams to coordinate engaging, audience-centered content development and align execution across platforms and audiences.
  • Support development and execution of accessible, brand-aligned digital content that translates advocacy priorities into clear, action-oriented supporter communications.

3. Data Analytics, Research & Performance Optimization (30%)

  • Use segmentation, behavioral insights, and A/B testing to improve messaging, pathways, and calls to action.
  • Maintain and enhance systems data tracking and reporting dashboards to ensure accurate, reliable measurement of advocacy and mobilization performance.
  • Analyze KPIs to report on team results, identify trends and opportunities, and recommend improvements to messaging, audience pathways, and calls to action.
  • Conduct research and draw insights from supporter research, platform behavior, and emerging tools to inform audience journey design.
  • Document system logic and campaign structures to support long-term learning and replication.

4. Innovation & Experimentation (10%)

  • Prototype and pilot new mobilization formats and tools (e.g., quizzes, multi-step actions, pledges, interactive journeys), assessing performance and supporter experience.
  • Monitor external digital engagement trends and emerging best practices to propose innovations aligned with supporter behavior and advocacy priorities.
  • Support the development of our future advocacy vision and roadmap by translating experimentation learnings into scalable recommendations that strengthen long-term mobilization.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5–8+ years in digital marketing, advocacy, public engagement, campaign automation, or other related experience.
  • Proven hands-on ability to manage and optimize digital platforms and supporter journeys (e.g., Adobe Journey Optimizer and related platforms).
  • Strong systems-thinking and ability to quickly learn new tools, understand data flows, and troubleshoot end-to-end engagement experiences.
  • Strong analytics and optimization skills, including segmentation, behavioral insights, and A/B testing to improve performance and conversion.
  • Strong communication and content development skills, translating complex issues into clear, accessible, action-oriented supporter messaging.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to maintain momentum, communicate clearly, and work across technical and creative teams in a shifting environment.
