About EquipHer

EquipHer is a nonprofit organization equipping girls and young women with tools, skills, and knowledge to bridge gender gaps in education and early skill development. We use education as a catalyst for gender equality—creating learning-driven solutions that strengthen confidence, expand opportunities, and support lifelong growth. Our mission is to ensure that every girl has access to the knowledge she needs to shape her own future.

About the Role

We are seeking a Development & Grant Coordinator with experience in grant writing, fundraising, and donor development to support EquipHer’s growth and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will play a leading role in researching funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, supporting donor cultivation, and strengthening EquipHer’s fundraising systems and materials.

This role is best suited for someone who has prior experience with nonprofit funding or development work and is passionate about advancing gender equality and education for girls.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Development: Research, identify, and evaluate potential grant opportunities across corporate, foundation, and government sectors.

Proposal Writing: Lead or support the development of high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, and budgets aligned with EquipHer’s strategic priorities.

Fundraising Strategy: Contribute to fundraising campaigns and donor outreach strategies, including sponsorship decks, annual giving initiatives, and donor communications.

Partnerships & Donor Relations: Support the cultivation and stewardship of funders, partners, and sponsors through outreach, follow-ups, and reporting.

Funding Tracker & Reporting: Maintain a database of funding opportunities, submission timelines, and outcomes. Prepare progress and impact summaries for funders as needed.

Collaborative Input: Work closely with the Executive Director and Programs Team to align proposals with ongoing programs and impact goals.
