We’re looking for a Database Analytics Manager who combines strategic thinking, technical expertise, and analytical insight to strengthen how we manage, understand, and grow our supporter community.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Strategy and Engagement, this role will lead the management and optimization of our donor database and fundraising systems, with a strong focus on data integrity, reporting, analytics, compliance, and process improvement.
You’ll oversee the flow and accuracy of donor and financial data within Raiser’s Edge, support campaign segmentation and reporting, and translate complex data into actionable insights that support fundraising strategy and organizational decision-making.
You’ll also directly manage and coach the Database Coordinator and collaborate closely with fundraising, communications, finance, and global teams to ensure our systems and data operations remain accurate, efficient, and effective.
What You'll Do
- Lead the management, optimization, and strategic oversight of Raiser’s Edge and related fundraising systems
- Act as the strategic lead for donor data operations, ensuring the database remains an accurate, reliable, and actionable source of truth for fundraising and organizational decision-making
- Directly manage, coach, mentor, and support the Database Coordinator, providing oversight and guidance to ensure accurate and effective database operations
- Oversee gift processing, donor data management, reconciliation support, and annual tax receipting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Partner closely with Finance to support accurate gift coding, reconciliation processes, audit preparation, and month-end/year-end financial reporting requirements
- Ensure the highest standards of data integrity, financial accuracy, coding consistency, and compliance with CRA guidelines, CASL, PCI standards, and organizational privacy practices
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of database processes, coding structures, data architecture, reporting frameworks, and operational best practices
- Manage data imports, exports, integrations, bulk updates, and system-wide data flows across platforms including Engaging Networks, Paysafe, and ImportOmatic
- Oversee and maintain existing Power Automate workflows, while actively identifying opportunities to develop new automation flows that streamline data processes and reduce manual workloads.
- Oversee the integrity and synchronization of donor and financial data across integrated systems, ensuring smooth and reliable data flow between platforms
- Develop and lead reporting frameworks, dashboards, queries, and segmentation strategies that provide actionable insights to support fundraising performance, campaign optimization, and organizational decision-making
- Translate complex fundraising and donor data into meaningful insights, trends, and recommendations using tools such as Power BI and Excel
- Lead segmentation and targeting strategies for fundraising campaigns, including audience selection, suppression management, and post-campaign analysis
- Support organizational planning and fundraising strategy through proactive analysis of donor trends, campaign results, and supporter engagement data
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that help teams monitor fundraising performance and key organizational metrics
- Lead technical vendor relationships and act as the primary point of contact for database troubleshooting, integrations, upgrades, and system improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and strengthen operational efficiencies across fundraising operations
- Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and internal documentation to support consistency, efficiency, and risk mitigation
- Collaborate closely with fundraising, communications, finance, and global teams to support campaigns, reporting needs, and organizational priorities
- Support data requests, campaign targeting, reporting, and analysis for fundraising appeals, donor stewardship, and organizational initiatives
- Perform ongoing data hygiene and quality assurance activities, including duplicate management, coding reviews, and constituent record maintenance
What You Bring
- 5+ years of database management experience, ideally with Raiser’s Edge
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience using Power BI or similar tools
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- Experience managing integrations, imports, exports, and fundraising data flows
- Experience using or managing workflow automation tools (such as Power Automate) to streamline data tasks and drive process efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and systems integrity
- Proven experience managing and coaching a Database Coordinator or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide clear direction, oversight, and support to team members
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and comfort adapting to new technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
- Experience with fundraising platforms such as Engaging Networks
- Knowledge of middleware tools such as ImportOmatic
- API or systems integration experience
- Interest in animal welfare, conservation, or global advocacy work

This is a remote role with flexible location. From time to time, team members may be asked to attend in-person meetings or events and will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to these occasions.
