Overview:

The Office for Refugees, Archdiocese of Toronto (ORAT) is seeking a skilled Data Specialist to develop and maintain its core databases for the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program and the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP). This role reports directly to the Director.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, Troubleshoot and Enhance the current Microsoft (MS) Excel PSR Case Management Workbook.

• Develop a robust MS Access database for PSR Case Management and migrate all data from Excel, ensuring integrity and performance.

• Continue developing and maintaining the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) database.

• Manage and update additional ORAT workbooks.

• Create clear documentation for all databases and tools.

• Additional duties, as needed.

Essential Requirements:

Proven technical expertise is essential. Candidates must demonstrate advanced proficiency in:

• Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros, and VBA).

• Microsoft Access (VBA programming, query optimization, and complex SQL queries).

• Design, develop, and maintain MS Access forms, reports for PSR and EMPP case management.

• Strong VBA automation across Excel, Access, and Outlook.

• Data migration and process automation (including Outlook, PDF, and Windows File Explorer).

The following are assets:

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, MS Forms (SharePoint), and Adobe Acrobat forms.

• Familiarity with Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program.

Other Requirements:

• Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to work independently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

• Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours.

• Successful criminal background check.
