CWIC Board Advisor Opportunity
Become a pivotal force in the Canadian cannabis industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for accomplished individuals to leverage their extensive expertise and strategic acumen to directly influence and bolster our core mission. Your contributions will be invaluable in building a supportive and thriving ecosystem where women can excel and lead. As a Board Advisor, you will play a critical role in strategically guiding CWIC, contributing significantly to the development and refinement of our initiatives. This unique position offers a platform to contribute directly to CWIC's growth and overall impact. By sharing your knowledge and perspective, you will help shape the future direction of our organization, amplifying our voice and strengthening our capacity to effectively champion the diverse interests of women in cannabis. The Board Advisor role involves contributing advisory support to one or more of CWIC's dedicated committees. This allows you to focus your expertise on specific areas that align with your background and passion, providing targeted guidance and support where it is most impactful. Whether your strengths lie in policy advocacy, community engagement, business development, or another relevant field, your participation on a CWIC committee will directly contribute to our strategic goals and the overall success of our initiatives. This is a chance to actively participate in shaping programs and strategies that will make a tangible difference in the lives and careers of Canadian women in cannabis.

Share your expertise to help CWIC become self-sustainable. Financial expertise, fundraising, innovative ideas and solutions. So CWIC can survive and thrive for generations to come ♥
Advocacy Committee
Help us shape our advocacy efforts as we elevate the voices of women in the Canadian cannabis industry. Share your expertise in government relations and policy change as we navigate with our Government of Canada, provincial and territorial regions. Help us script the voices of women in cannabis and establish as the ‘go to’ agency for her perspectives.
Collective Network Committee
Support CWIC in building a strong community of women in cannabis fostering growth and progress. Share your expertise in the development of learning programs, events and engagement initiatives to support our network membership. Help us deliver on useful resources and services of benefit to women Marketing Committee Help CWIC launch its new programs and services by providing marketing advice and strategy support. Information Technology Committee Help CWIC build and expand our IT capabilities to enhance collaboration, data management, and security.
Advisor Role - Key Steps to Get Involved:
1. Attend the Spring Orientation Meeting (May) Your involvement will begin with an orientation meeting this spring . This session will provide an in-depth overview of CWIC’s core mission, introduce you to our dedicated Board members, and detail the various committees that drive our work.
2. Identify Your Areas of Interest: You will gain a clear understanding of the diverse advisory roles we are currently seeking, allowing you to identify areas where your skills and experience can make the greatest impact.
3. Contribute Your Expertise: Dive into committee activities and actively support CWIC's initiatives through your insights and efforts. This may involve contributing to strategic discussions, providing expert advice, assisting with project development and execution, leveraging your network to expand our reach, and championing our goals within the broader cannabis community.
Time Commitment: We're asking for your voluntary time commitment for now (until we get funding) over the next year is critical as we’re building and growing. A mutual agreement for your voluntary services and recognition for your contributions will be established. How Much You Help: It's really up to you! Based on your interests and how much time you have, you can offer advice and other support.
