Join Our Board: Volunteer Cross-Over Director Opportunity
The Centennial Infant and Child Centre (CICC) and the Centennial Infant and Child Centre Foundation (CICCF) are seeking a volunteer Cross-Over Board Director to serve on both Boards, preferably a practising or retired lawyer.
This distinctive governance role strengthens alignment between program strategy and philanthropic investment. The Cross-Over Director contributes to advancing long-term strategy, resource development, and sustainability in support of children with disabilities and their families.

The CICC Foundation secures and stewards the resources required to sustain and expand this impact, enabling innovation, growth, and long-term resilience.
Strategic Contribution to CICC
As a volunteer Board Director, you will contribute to advancing CICC’s 2026–2031 strategic direction by providing oversight, insight, and stewardship across three core priorities:
• Long-Term Sustainability & Governance Excellence – strengthening governance, financial resilience, and strategic oversight
• Leadership in Specialized Care – supporting strategic positioning and innovation within the sector
• Impact Expansion & System Evolution – advancing reach, influence, and modernization across services and partnerships
Strategic Contribution to the CICC Foundation
• Support fundraising, donor engagement, philanthropic advocacy, and relationship development aligned with organizational priorities

• Participate in donor cultivation, community engagement, fundraising initiatives, and strategic relationship-building to advance long-term impact and sustainability
• Contribute informed, future-focused perspectives that strengthen governance excellence and organizational impact
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic oversight and governance leadership across both Boards, ensuring alignment of mission, strategy, and resources
• Contribute to enterprise risk oversight, regulatory integrity, and policy frameworks
• Support oversight of philanthropic strategy and long-term sustainability
• Serve as a strategic ambassador, strengthening relationships, partnerships, and
system-level influence
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
We are seeking experienced leaders who bring a strategic lens in areas such as:
• Governance, legal, or regulatory oversight
• Philanthropy, donor engagement, resource development, or capital strategy
• Corporate, community, and stakeholder relationship development
• Strategic communications and influence
• Enterprise strategy and transformation
• Equity, diversity, and inclusion at a systems level
Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, a governance mindset, and a commitment to advancing outcomes for children with disabilities and their families.
Commitment
• Participate in approximately 12 Board meetings annually (CICC and Foundation meetings scheduled consecutively)
• Engage in select committee or advisory work as appropriate
• This is an unpaid volunteer governance role
