Serenity Renewal for Families is a heart centered, non-profit agency which provides help and support for individuals and family members impacted directly or indirectly by addictions. We do this through family programs, short term counselling, educational workshops, and group programs.
We are currently seeking qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists to augment our team and provide counselling for individuals and couples and families. Experience working with parents and children/teens would be an asset. If you are a member of a regulatory college, (see below) have experience in addictions and codependency, have a passion for this community, and want the flexibility to choose your own hours, we would love to meet you.

SRF believes that there are many paths to recovery. Our mission is to assist those affected by addictions to reclaim their lives and break inter-generational cycles. Job Type: Part-time; in-person and virtual; in-person weekday hours; virtual availability on evenings and/or weekends is an asset.

Pay Rate: $50.03/ hour

Hours: 5-20 per week; a minimum commitment of 4 client sessions per week is required.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate is a Psychotherapist (RP or Qualifying), or a Social Worker (with clinical training), and is a member of one of the following regulating bodies:

• College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (RP or Qualifying)
• Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers

They have a minimum of three years of experience in a counselling setting, with specific experience working with clients affected by addictions and codependency issues. Knowledge and education specific to addictions and treatment approaches are required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with youth aged 12 and up, and with family members/concerned significant others of people with addictive behaviours.

Language

English; Bilingualism (French language proficiency) is an asset.

Conditions of Employment

• All contract employees shall maintain professional liability insurance in the amount of $2,000,000 while engaged in providing all services for SRF. Proof of insurance shall be provided to SRF on an annual basis, at the start of each calendar year.
