Volunteer Opportunity

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) Program

The St. Leonard's Society of Hamilton (SLSH)

Join us in our mission to enhance public safety and reduce the risk of future sexual offenses by volunteering with our Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) program. CoSA is a proven, effective community-based

initiative that significantly reduces the risk of sexual reoffending. Originating in Hamilton, this innovative program has since expanded to chapters worldwide, demonstrating its success and impact on communities globally.

What CoSA Volunteers Do:

About the CoSA Program: CoSA is one of the most successful methods for managing the risk of sexual reoffending. By providing ongoing support, accountability, and community engagement, CoSA volunteers play a critical role in creating safer communities while promoting personal growth and change in Core Members.

About The St. Leonard's Society of Hamilton: The St. Leonard's Society of Hamilton is a therapeutic, community-based organization that assists individuals transitioning from federal incarceration. Our programs include the Robert Street Community Residential Facility, the Clinton House Community Residential Facility, The Reporting Centre, and now the Circles of Support and Accountability program..

Get Involved: If you are interested in becoming a CoSA volunteer and making a meaningful impact in your community, please contact Rick Pauw for more information.

• Work in a team of two or three community volunteers supported by an SLSH staff member.
• Engage with Core Members--individuals with a history of sexual offending--to help them reintegrate safely

into the community.
• Support Core Members in meeting their practical needs, fostering deeper self-understanding, and

encouraging positive life choices.
