Volunteer Role: Corporate Outreach & Sponsorship Researcher (Remote)
Right to Live Canada | 10–15 hrs/week | Volunteer Position

The Mission
Right to Live Canada is a national nonprofit initiative committed to addressing poverty-driven euthanasia and the systemic suffering of Canadians with disabilities. We focus on developing high-impact, scalable, and data-driven strategies to deliver emergency relief, food security, and advocacy for structural reform.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an intelligent, driven, and professional volunteer to serve as our Corporate Outreach & Sponsorship Researcher. This individual will play a critical role in mapping the landscape of corporate giving, identifying high-value sponsorship prospects, and executing first-line outreach to secure financial and in-kind support from businesses across Canada.

This position will form the foundational pillar of our institutional fundraising infrastructure and will work directly with the executive team to construct the workflows, databases, and outreach strategies necessary for scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic research into corporate sponsorship programs, CSR initiatives, and community engagement funds across Canada, with a focus on national retailers, food brands, health sector organizations, logistics companies, and philanthropic corporations.
- Build and manage a structured outreach database (potentially using HubSpot, Google Sheets, or an interim CRM solution).
- Draft and send highly professional cold outreach emails and letters to decision-makers, procurement officers, and CSR managers.
- Maintain detailed records of all correspondence, follow-ups, and prospect status.
- Support grant and sponsorship application processes where relevant.
- Identify both financial and in-kind partnership opportunities (e.g., event sponsorships, food donations, logistical support, etc.).

What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality research and synthesis from public and proprietary sources
- Strong written communication skills with a professional, persuasive tone
- High reliability and ability to operate independently under minimal supervision
- Strategic thinker capable of identifying patterns in funding ecosystems
- Prior experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Airtable, or similar CRM tools is an asset but not required
- A background in nonprofit fundraising, business development, communications, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory
