DEPARTMENT SUMMARY

St. Michael's and Providence Foundation (SMPF) is the exclusive fundraising organization to generate and manage philanthropic funds for St. Michael's Hospital and Providence Healthcare within Unity Health Toronto. Through multiple lines of fundraising income generation and stewardship activity, SMPF, in conjunction with Unity Health, will define and promote the St. Michael's and Providence brands to maximize philanthropic revenue to fuel their healthcare, research, teaching and health equity missions. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Fundraising, the Coordinator, Digital Fundraising will support the Foundation’s digital fundraising initiatives, with a focus on email marketing, campaign execution, reporting, and digital content management. This role will take ownership of day-to-day digital tasks, contribute ideas for optimization, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive online fundraising performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

RESPONSIBILITY – Campaign Management & Execution

Activities:

  • Assist in building and scheduling email campaigns, including appeals, onboarding journeys, and other fundraising communications.
  • Create JIRA tasks, update the consolidated email tracker, and monitor campaign progress.
  • Support digital campaign presentations and planning by providing edits and updates as required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to secure approvals and ensure digital campaigns launch on schedule.
  • Assist in project management of digital campaigns internally and externally, including compiling edits and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Champion a data-driven testing culture through constant evaluation of UX, campaign impact, and donor journeys.

RESPONSIBILITY – Content & Creative Support

Activities:

  • Assist in project management of internal and external digital partners including preparing briefs, requesting and consolidating edits, and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Assist in video creation/editing and management including adding subtitles, processing/uploading, and delivering assets to partners.
  • Support website updates for landing pages and campaign-related content, including building/editing landing pages, securing approvals, and organizing layout reviews.
  • Generate QR codes and create vanity URLs for direct mail campaigns and other fundraising activities as required.

RESPOPNSIBILITY – Digital Marketing & Tracking

Activities:

  • Create UTM codes for fundraising initiatives including emails, ads, and other digital initiatives; support tracking and reporting activities.
  • Monitor Mailchimp inbox replies and manage tagging and cleanup processes.
  • Assist with Mailchimp interest and engagement tagging to improve donor segmentation.
  • Support lead generation workflows, including development and onboarding automation.
  • Assist with Mailchimp and Raiser’s Edge data syncing and configure required reports.
  • Keep abreast of innovation, developments and trends in the digital fundraising space and identify and champion strategic digital fundraising opportunities.
  • Strive to continuously improve and make recommendations to digital processes that enhance efficiency, donor experience, and measurable outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITY – Reporting and Analysis

Activities:

  • Assist in compiling and analyzing email, ads, and year-over-year digital performance metrics.
  • Support reporting for external agencies and internal teams; provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Track donations and monitor donor activity across digital channels.
  • Assist in monitoring website and SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Hotjar, and provide insights to support optimization efforts.

RESPONSIBILITY – External Agency Collaboration

Activities:

  • Provide day-to-day support, content, and materials to digital partners.
  • Attend monthly meetings with advertising partners and supply required materials and approvals.

RESPONSIBILITY – Additional Support and Special Projects

Activities:

  • Support MARCOM and internal teams with Mailchimp needs, UTM tracking, and Facebook ads.
  • Assist in managing a comprehensive digital production calendar for the integrated marketing team.
  • Field questions and provide support to donors and internal teams related to donation processing issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to website optimizations, UX improvements, and long-term digital initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency working in Mailchimp, basic HTML/CSS for emails, digital tracking tools (Google Analytics), Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and various CRM systems.
  • Experience with social media platform tools.
  • Experience working with fundraising databases and donation platforms such as Raiser’s Edge.
  • Familiarity with UTM codes and digital tracking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of current and developing online fundraising acquisition strategies, social media and new technologies.
  • Experience working with Fundraise Up experience managing multiple projects simultaneously using tools like JIRA, Asana, Trello, or similar.
  • Fundraising or non-profit experience, especially within the health sector.
  • Experience supporting SEO, website analytics, or landing page performance tracking (SEO/Google Search Console/Hotjar experience).
  • Content creation experience (Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator) or video editing (subtitles, simple edits).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • 2-4 years working experience
