Controller (Volunteer)

The Ottawa Horticultural Society (OHS) is a non-profit organization (NPO) that supports the Ottawa gardening and horticultural community by promoting community-based horticultural knowledge and practices. It is seeking a volunteer to join its leadership team as Controller, to manage day-to-day financial transaction processing, including recording of cash transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The position will also assist the volunteer OHS Treasurer. Experience in financial administration or basic book-keeping, including use of accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), is preferable. Detailed position description can be provided (see contact info). Training on QBO accounting, as well as mentoring and support during onboarding, can be provided. Time commitment is an average 3 hours/month .
