The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Controller who thrives in a client-facing, leadership role. You’ll oversee the financial operations of multiple client businesses and non-profit organizations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting aligned with each client’s unique needs.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending technical expertise with strategic insight and people leadership while supporting organizations that are making a meaningful impact in their communities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Financial Leadership

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to support business stability

Strategic Planning & Insight

  • Build budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Analyze results and deliver actionable insights to clients
  • Identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate audits and maintain strong internal controls
  • Safeguard financial accuracy and company assets

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
  • Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Provide analytical support to internal leadership

Special Projects

  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and support finance-related initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Sound judgment, high integrity, and a results-driven mindset
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or multi-client environment is an asset
