Content Creation Intern (Student Placement) – Hybrid

(Remote + In-Person Content Capture as Scheduled)

About Young Bosses in Business Foundation (YBIB)

YBIB is a youth-focused Canadian charity supporting entrepreneurship, leadership, and

real-world skill-building for young people. We deliver programs and opportunities that help

youth build confidence, practical experience, and future-ready skills through mentorship,

community partnerships, and hands-on learning.

Placement Overview (Hybrid)

The Content Creation Intern creates platform-ready content for YBIB (short-form video, reels,

trend-based content, edits). This role focuses on editing, trend awareness, and turning captured

moments into engaging content across social platforms. Some in-person content capture is

required on select program days to collect fresh footage. Reports to: Communications Chair

In-Person Requirement (As Scheduled)

• Some Tuesdays, 5:00–7:00 PM (programming) for content capture
• Not required every single Tuesday — attendance will be scheduled based on content

needs and program calendar

• Additional events may include special activations like the one-day Youth Market

What You’ll Work On

1) Short-Form Video Creation & Editing

• Capture and edit short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) using phone-friendly tools (CapCut and in-app edits)

• Add trendy hooks, captions/subtitles, and simple transitions to improve clarity and retention

• Deliver platform-ready edits aligned with YBIB’s brand tone

2) Trend Awareness & Content Ideation

• Stay current on trends and suggest content ideas that match YBIB’s brand and audience

• Help develop repeatable content series (youth spotlights, behind-the-scenes, quick program moments)

3) Content Calendar & Scheduling

• Prepare content packages and help fill the content calendar
• Schedule approved content using Buffer and track what has been posted

4) Event & Program Content Capture

• Capture content during scheduled programming and events (including our one-day Youth Market)

• Organize raw footage so it’s easy to access for editing and future use

5) Collaboration & Alignment

• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to align on daily/weekly content priorities

• Coordinate updates via WhatsApp and manage tasks through Trello

Deliverables (what success looks like)

• A consistent flow of short-form content delivered weekly based on priorities
• Organized content folders + reusable editing templates (hooks, captions, styles)
• A content calendar that stays current and reflects upcoming programs and events

Ideal Candidate

• College/university student in Digital Media, Content Creation, Film/Video, Marketing, Communications, or a related program

• High school students seeking experience and community service hours are welcome to apply

• Comfortable using (or learning) Buffer, Canva, Trello, and WhatsApp
