Environmental Defence Canada (EDC) is a leading Canadian environmental advocacy organization that works with government, industry and individuals to defend clean water, a safe climate and healthy communities. EDC is looking for an outreach team member to support our regional coordinator in engaging the community in Hamilton. The pay is $22/hour.

Purpose of the Role

The Community Outreach Coordinator, who is currently residing in Hamilton, will be responsible for targeted outreach to communities in Hamilton.

Primarily, this role will involve engaging with people at events and festivals which requires the individual to have availability for evenings and weekends.

The outreach coordinator will work closely with other outreach staff and will report to the Project’s Engagement Manager.

Skills

  • Ability to engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for the environment and community engagement
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Ontario driver’s license an asset

Hamilton, Ontario.
