The Dalhousie Community Association is hiring a Community Centre Coordinator. This person is the Association’s first point of contact with people for community centre rentals, events, programs, and information about what is going on in the Dalhousie community.

If customer service is your passion, this job is for you! You are a person who schedules your work, pays attention to detail, and enjoys a variety of tasks every day. You thrive working with customers, co-workers, and volunteers. Ideally you have worked in the non-profit sector for 3-5 years.

The Community Centre Coordinator works with Association volunteers and employees to:

  • Respond to enquiries about the Dalhousie Community Association
  • Rent the community centre for events and activities
  • Sell and renew community memberships
  • Organize community programs and events
  • Register participants for community programs and events
  • Engage volunteers in community activities

Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly preferred:

  1. High school graduate.
  2. Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
  3. Demonstrated organization skills.
  4. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  5. Adaptable.
  6. Previous experience with online membership and registration system
  7. Basic ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  8. Two years of experience in nonprofit customer service
