Job Posting

About Us Malvern Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is an essential and trusted Community Hub that connects, engages, and takes collaborative action in supporting our communities to thrive. We use our public spaces, and our deep and authentic connections, to bring people together with a focus on those that need us the most. In 2024, MFRC provided impactful, holistic, and highly accessible programs and services to 19,000 children, youth, families, women, newcomers, and seniors. The Opportunity

We're looking for a Community and Family Manager to lead some of our most vital programs: the Seniors’ Program, Women Programs, and the Newcomer and Settlement Program. This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior leadership role in a dynamic, community-focused organization that is guided by a bold strategic plan — A Place Where You Belong. The Community and Family Manager will report to MFRC’s Program Director and work closely with other members of MFRC’s Management Team.

What You'll Do:

• Lead, mentor, and support a skilled team of program coordinators, staff, and volunteers.

• Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of inclusive and innovative community programs.

• Use data and community feedback to strengthen programming and measure impact.

• Build and sustain partnerships with stakeholders, funders, and community collaborators.

• Ensure programs meet safety, quality, and equity standards — and reflect the diversity of our community.

• Collaborate with the leadership team on budgeting, staff recruitment, funding opportunities and reporting.

What You Bring:

• A degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.

• At least five years of experience managing programs in a community or nonprofit setting.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building inclusive teams.

• A deep understanding of the experiences and needs of seniors, women, families, and newcomers.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in both strategy and practice. Why MFRC?

• Join a team grounded in purpose, driven by values, and inspired by community.

• Lead programs that make a real difference in people’s lives.

• Work in a collaborative environment that embraces learning, imagination, and impact. Terms of Employment: $65,000-$75,000 plus 100% paid benefits, three weeks of accrued paid vacation and other paid time off including over the new year break. In furtherance of MFRC’s values and inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility, staff may substitute a more appropriate day for them in place of the following four holidays: Thanksgiving, Victoria Day, Good Friday, and Canada Day.
