Purpose

MADD Toronto seeks a skilled volunteer to lead the development of an organic social media

strategy and communications playbook, and to guide ongoing social media activities that

strengthen public awareness, community engagement, and support for victims.

Mission Context

MADD Canada is committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting victims of this violent

crime. MADD Toronto operates on the front lines of victim support, prevention education, and

community advocacy.

Role Objectives

• Increase public awareness of MADD Toronto’s work and impact

• Establish consistent, engaging, and mission-aligned social content

• Strengthen connection with the local community

• Support and promote partners, tenants, and local initiatives

Scope of Volunteer Role

Social Media Strategy

• Review current social media presence

• Identify target audiences and engagement opportunities

• Recommend priority platforms and posting cadence

• Promote accessible, inclusive, and respectful communications

Communications & Content Playbook

• Voice and tone aligned with MADD Canada

• Content themes and messaging guidance

• Posting framework and content calendar template

• Trauma-informed and victim-centred communication principles

• Comment moderation and community standards
