
Communications Lead, New Collar Collective Animal Rescue
Summary
As part of the Marketing Team, the Communications Lead will support the growth and promotion of New Collar Collective through public communication channels. The Communications Lead will oversee the communications and branding strategy of the organization, support the promotion of events throughout the year, and oversee public-facing materials and merchandise.
The Communications Lead will be a part of New Collar Collective’s leadership team, which thrives on collaboration and open team discussions to review current and past methods and strategically implement new ideas.
Description
The primary role of the Communications Lead is to support the volunteers on the marketing team, lead on the organizations social media strategy across multiple platforms, manage website content, facilitate the completion and distribution of the monthly newsletter, assist in developing Board communications materials (including press releases and annual reports), and implement initiatives to build partnerships and raise awareness of the organization and the animals.
The Communications Lead works closely with the Events & Fundraising Lead to promote cohesion in branding and marketing across the organization.
Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week, volunteer
Responsibilities include:

Developing a communications strategy for the organization

Oversee all materials produced by the Communications team, or other teams as needed, including but not limited to: newsletters, website, promotional materials, media relations, and social media communications

Monitoring communication budgets

Working closely with the Events & Fundraising Lead and other branches of the marketing team to support with successful execution of events

Onboarding, training, and managing volunteers

Attending regular marketing and other team meetings and participating in collaborative discussions on other areas of marketing
