Working alongside governments, employers, labour organizations, Indigenous partners, educational institutions, and community organizations, we design and deliver innovative workforce development initiatives that create meaningful employment opportunities.
We're looking for an energetic and creative Communications Coordinator to help tell our story and showcase the impact of our programs and research.
Position Summary
As Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating engaging digital content, maintaining our online presence, supporting organizational messaging, and helping communicate the success of our participants, employers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule, and manage content across social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Instagram,
- Create compelling stories highlighting participant success, employer partnerships, funding announcements, and organizational achievements.
- Maintain, update, and enhance the CSTEC website, ensuring information remains current, accurate, and accessible.
- Assist in developing communication materials including newsletters, brochures, presentations, media releases, reports, and promotional campaigns.
- Help craft consistent messaging for projects, funding announcements, stakeholder communications, and public outreach.
- Capture photographs, videos, and testimonials from training activities, events, and partner organizations.
- Monitor website and social media analytics and recommend opportunities to increase engagement and reach.
- Support email marketing campaigns and digital communications.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
- Experience creating engaging social media content.
- Experience maintaining websites using content management systems (WordPress experience is an asset).
- Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva.
