Reports To: Operations & IT Director
Location: 5 inspiration Way, Brampton
Type: Full-time, Permanent, in-person for 3-month probationary period, hybrid following 3 months Wellspring Chinguacousy
Hours: 37.5 hrs. a week
Salary: $60,000 - $68,000

About the Opportunity
The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a central role in advancing Wellspring Chinguacousy’s mission by leading the organization’s marketing and communications strategy, delivering high-quality promotional and fundraising campaigns, and supporting effective internal communications and operational workflows. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across digital, traditional, and in-centre channels. The Manager will oversee communications contractors, coordinate event collateral, manage outreach materials, produce key organizational assets such as annual reports and cases for support, and ensure all communications align with Wellspring Canada’s brand standards. The Manager also supports operational systems that enable effective team coordination and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that supports organizational priorities in fundraising, programs, and community engagement.
- Create annual and campaign-specific plans across digital, print, and in-centre channels.
- Ensure all communications adhere to Wellspring Canada’s brand standards, tone, and visual identity.
- Conduct periodic reviews of communications touchpoints to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with the Wellspring network.
Campaign Planning and Execution
- Lead development and execution of integrated promotional campaigns for programs and fundraising initiatives.
- Draft key messages, create content calendars, and coordinate campaign workflows across teams.
- Build user journeys for campaigns and events, including email workflows, follow-ups, confirmations, and stewardship communications.
- Gather stories, data, and impact examples from program and fundraising teams to support compelling campaign narratives.
Digital, Traditional, and In-Centre Media
- Work with the Director of IT and Operations to manage and maintain the website
- Create e-newsletters, email marketing, social media platforms, and digital advertising.
- Develop print communications, such as flyers, brochures, posters, and community placements.
- Oversee in-centre communications including signage, program boards, screens, and promotional displays.
- Ensure all materials meet accessibility standards and reflect inclusive practices.
MarComms Contractor and Vendor Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for communications-related contractors, including website developers, graphic designers, photographers, and videographers.
- Develop briefs, coordinate timelines, provide feedback, and ensure deliverables meet organizational needs.
- Oversee procurement and production of printed and branded materials.
Event Communications and On-Site Collateral
- Coordinate collateral for events, including signage, presentation decks, programs, donor materials, and run-of-show documents.
- Support event-related communications such as invitations, emails, social media promotion, and follow-up touchpoints.
- Ensure all on-site event visuals reflect Wellspring Canada branding and enhance audience engagement.
Outreach Support and Partner Communications
- Develop and maintain outreach materials for referral partners, healthcare environments, and community organizations.
- Ensure partner and referral sites have accurate, current, and compelling materials that reflect program offerings.
- Create presentation decks and promotional kits for use in outreach initiatives and partnership development.
Content Creation and Organizational Assets
- Draft content for newsletters, blog posts, participant and donor stories, impact narratives, and program updates.
- Lead the development and production of the Annual Report, ensuring accuracy, compelling storytelling, and alignment with Wellspring Canada brand guidelines.
- Support creation and evolution of cases for support by helping articulate organizational needs, funding priorities, and community impact.
- Maintain a centralized content library for use across campaigns and communications channels.
Analytics and Reporting
- Track and analyze communications metrics across digital and traditional channels.
- Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, audience engagement, and channel effectiveness.
- Recommend improvements grounded in analytics, user behaviour, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency with digital tools such as email marketing platforms, social media management systems, analytics tools, and content management systems.
- Experience producing annual reports, cases for support, or major organizational communications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating external vendors or contractors.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive communications practices.
- Knowledge of the health, cancer support, or community services sector is an asset.
