POSITION TITLE
Communications and Administrative Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
The position provides communications and administrative support to the Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN). Through their work, the Communications and Administrative Coordinator ensures that breast cancer patients and their families are supported through the promotion of relevant resources, information, research and the organization’s education and advocacy programming, while also ensuring that the organization is supported administratively.

JOB TYPE
Part-time contract position
COMPENSATION
A full-time annual salary of $43,000, pro-rated for the part-time hours (22.5 per week) of the position.
TERM
One-year contract, with a three-month probationary period. Position is subject to extension based on funding.
START DATE
July 15th, or until a suitable candidate is found.
WORK TYPE AND SCHEDULE
Hybrid. Fully remote position will be considered for the ideal candidate.
POSITION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Management (60%)
- Implement CBCN’s social media strategy to enhance CBCN’s social media presence and organizational awareness
- Manage all CBCN social media accounts, including sourcing appropriate content, developing social media schedule, posting social media content, and maintaining communication with social media followers
- Coordinate all CBCN social media campaigns
- Coordinate CBCN’s participation in all external stakeholder social media campaigns
- Track and monitor social media analytics and identify opportunities to improve audience engagement and reach
Website, Blog, and Newsletter Management (35%)
- Develop and integrate new and updated content for the CBCN website and coordinate translation as needed
- Draft topic, content, and design for CBCN blog and magazine in collaboration with the Director of Patient Education and Engagement, maintaining blog and magazine schedule, and coordinating appropriate authors, translation, integration, and launch
- Track and monitor website analytics and user engagement and identify opportunities to improve audience engagement
- Develop and publish CBCN’s e-newsletters in collaboration with the Director of Patient Education and Engagement
- Create design for all external communications
Administration (5%)
- Answer phone and email, responding directly to requests or directing to appropriate CBCN team member
- Coordinate and book travel for CBCN team members and directors as needed
- Support CBCN team members with any administrative needs
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant education and/or one to two years’ experience working in a communications role
- Relevant education and/or one to two years’ experience working in an administrative role

ASSETS
- Ability to speak French
- Relevant education and/or experience managing a website
- Relevant education and/or experience managing a social media page
- Prior knowledge of breast cancer
