About the Opportunity:
CMHA HPE is currently recruiting new Board Members who are 18 years or older who have a permanent residence or work in Hastings or Prince Edward Counties. The Board of Directors are seeking to fill vacancies based on areas of expertise identified by the Board as essential to its work on behalf of the organization. We are looking for individuals who have experience with Finance, Housing and Homelessness, and Fundraising. Working knowledge of health systems is considered an asset.
As a Member of the Board of Directors, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring effective governance, and contributing to the overall success of our mission. This volunteer position requires a commitment to the organization’s goals and values, as well as a willingness to engage in meaningful discussions and decision-making processes.
The work of the Board of Directors is conducted using a committee structure. The Board meets regularly on a monthly basis for 10 months of the year. Board Members are expected to sit on one Committee of the Board. A minimum commitment of 4-5 hours per month is required. Each term lasts three years, with the possibility of renewal.
