Purpose of the Position: The primary purpose of the Crisis Team is to provide the delivery of high-quality
crisis intervention, assessment, intake, and triage on a day-to-day basis. The Clinical Lead is a senior clinician
and leader within the designated service. The Clinical Lead is a leader within the organization. The Clinical
Lead provides clinical supervision, operational support, and leadership for the day-to-day operations of
designated services, ensuring high quality and consistency of services that supports the mission, vision, core
values, and principles of the organization, with the support of the Program Manager and policy.
Education and Qualifications:
• Preferred qualifications include a master’s level post-secondary degree in Psychology, Psychiatric
Nursing, Social Work, or equivalent degree.
• Current registration and in good standing with one of the following Colleges: College of Nurses Ontario
(CNO); College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO); College of Physicians and Surgeons of
Ontario (CPSO); College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPBAO); College of Registered Psychotherapists
of Ontario (CRPO); or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW).
• Eligibility and application in the process of membership may be considered.
• A minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience with mental health and substance use service provision
applicable to the requirements of the position.
• Clinical consultation and supervision experience, including case conceptualization and documentation
preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of current “best practice” as required by the position.
• Knowledge of current provincial mental health policy applicable to the position.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the practices of psychotherapy
• Demonstrated experience in providing group, individual. and walk-in therapy
• Practical experience and knowledge working with people with serious mental illnesses and addictions
and a commitment to their rights
• Demonstrated competency with principles and practices of individual, group and crisis interventions
• Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software
• A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound
• A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license, a safe and reliable means of transportation, and appropriate
insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.
• Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset
• Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.
Salary scale: $38.36 – $48.39 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience
Benefits include: Enrollment in a Registered Retirement plan with HOOPP where contributions start on date
of hire.
