The core purpose of the Association of Ontario Midwives (AOM) is to advance the clinical and professional practice of Indigenous and Registered Midwives in Ontario. We are seeking a Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) to join our dynamic and progressive organization for a 12-month contract position.

Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Knowledge Translation (CKT) department, the CEC is responsible for the overall administration, day-to-day planning, and delivery of the Emergency Skills Workshop (ESW) program and other clinical educational programming such as events and webinars. The CEC is also responsible for coordinating CKT internal and external meetings and administrating specific projects as assigned.

Specific responsibilities
- Collaborates with clinical content specialists/managers to ensure seamless delivery of Emergency Skills Workshop program and its adaptations by ensuring adherence to all ESW program policies and procedures.
- Responsible for professionally answering inquiries, triaging internal and external correspondence, determining appropriate action, and responding with timely follow up
- Develops expertise in working with the AOM event and learning management systems
- Provides coordination and logistics oversight for virtual and in-person events including booking venues, adhering to event budgets, event promotion, organizing catering and audiovisual supplies and providing on-site trouble shooting using the dedicated asana template for tracking and communication purposes
- With direction from the management team, administers the midwifery research and grant program (e.g., blinding and collating applications, notifying awardees, preparing award packages and coordinating fund disbursement)
- Develops, disseminates, and collects surveys and questionnaires as part of ongoing educational curricula quality assessment
- Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data and builds summaries including charts, tables, infographics and PowerPoints to communicate program evaluation of various clinical educational programs including reach and dissemination of CKT products
- Contributes to the development and refinement of department and program related procedures
- Enhances member involvement in the Association by providing support to related Committees, Work Groups and Task Forces, and other meetings as required, specifically by scheduling meetings, operating virtual meeting software, taking and distributing minutes if requested, collating member feedback on materials, and maintaining member lists and records for purposes of processing stipends
- Administers the department’s privacy requirements and record retention as directed by the respective AOM policies
- Processes and submits expense and honorarium requests
- Provides administrative support to the department as assigned (e.g. coordinates human resources recruitment, translation of CKT resources, orientation activities and team meetings)
- Performs additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience working in educational coordination/ program administrative role, preferably in an association setting with an emphasis on project management
- Experience with midwifery an asset and/or a degree or diploma in health administration or healthcare related field an asset
- Able to work in a self-directed manner adapting to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
- Strong organizational, time management, planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate interdependent activities and meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in the planning and administration of meetings, events, projects and tasks.
- Proficient in minute taking, document editing and version control.
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
- Demonstrated aptitude for detailed work and capability of decision making/problem solving within predetermined guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including maturity, diplomacy, and an ability to foster productive professional relationships with staff and stakeholders
- High degree of commitment to member service with respect and cultural sensitivity
- Superior oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate and assimilate complex information
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and implement improved processes.
- Experience developing, collecting and analyzing surveys and questionnaires, generating reports and presentations
- Able to work on-site regularly (a minimum of one day per week) and travel to conferences and events as required. This includes in-person attendance at approximately 3-6 events per year in Ontario. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
- Advanced proficiency in educational technology support including learning management systems (e.g., EasyLMS), event planning databases, survey tools (Survey Monkey and MS Forms), video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom and MS Teams), video streaming (e.g., Youtube and Vimeo) and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
- Advanced skills in MS office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with or passion for midwifery and/or reproductive health a strong asset

Starting Salary: the full salary range for this position is: $54,606 to $81,910 with an expected starting salary between $54,606 to $68,000 depending on qualifications.

Duration and work hours: this is a 12-month contract position. The position has a 35-hour work week with an expected start date of April 15th, 2026.

Location: this position is mostly remote; however, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site regularly (a minimum of one day per week) and travel to conferences and events as required.
