Position: Child Youth Worker / Support Worker Location: Mississauga, ON
Function: The role of the Child and Youth Worker will be to support the most vulnerable youth in our community.
Our team provides daily care for these children and youth (ages 4–17). This role involves assessing and documenting these young people through a holistic, trauma-informed evidence-based approach.
You will be building therapeutic relationships with the children, staff, family, and community partners while developing individualized plans of care.
We are looking for energetic, compassionate, and patient individuals to join our team in providing these children and youth with specialized care. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate an openness to learn and be able to demonstrate a strong sense of clinical and teamwork skills.
Schedule: FT, Perm. Shift work includes some weekends. Salary: $23-$25 an hour Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in CYW, DSW, SSW or equivalent 2+ years' experience working with youth with complex
needs/developmental exceptionalities. Responsibilities:
• Support children and youth with daily life skills and social skills including
meals and hygiene
• Documenting daily activities of the youth in the home
• Ensure the overall health and safety of the home is maintained.
• Create and report to Supervisor plan of cares, and incident reports.
• Utilize and maintain Staff Communication Book and create/maintain youth
Files as required.
• Support youth that may not be verbal to communicate their needs and
wants effectively
• Administer and document medications in accordance with policies and
protocols

• Support residents in their cultural and religious beliefs and practices
• Participate in supervision and case conferencing & demonstrate knowledge
of placement in the home and permanency plans for the child.
• Work cooperatively as a team to assess service delivery objectives and
actively participate in providing service in accordance and compliance with
ministry guidelines and agency policies.
• Be able to work collaboratively with families and community partners.
Required degree level
- Experienced (Non Manager)
Salary range
- $23 - $25 per hour
