Job Summary:
The Chief Commercial and Impact Officer (CCIO) is responsible for setting and delivering the Canadian Paralympic Committee's national commercial and impact strategy, focusing on sustainable and diversified revenue generation, marketing, communications, strategic partnerships, and impact. As a member of the Executive Leadership team, the CCIO strengthens the CPC’s brand, deepens corporate and community engagement, and ensures measurable commercial and social impact to elevate Paralympic sport and promote the impact of the CPC's mission.

Location: Remote within Canada, with travel to Ottawa (CPC Office) and other locations
Full-time
Salary: $125,000-$145,000 annually plus benefits
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the growth of the Paralympic brand, sponsorship value, and impact, in alignment with the CPC’s vision, mission, and values, and the IPC’s vision, mission, and priorities.
- Lead revenue generation strategies by optimizing current sponsorships, securing new sponsorships, and exploring innovative and diversified income streams.
- Provide executive oversight of the Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC) and work in collaboration with the PFC Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and Foundation strategy.
- Oversee communications, marketing, and brand management, ensuring that CPC’s brand is consistently represented across all channels and aligned with the organization’s core values.
- Oversee CPC’s impact strategy and measurement systems to ensure a direct link between investment, innovation, and impact
- Lead the partnership with media partners to enhance the coverage of Paralympic sport in Canada (Paralympic Games and Parapan Games).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key sport partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Identify and explore new commercial opportunities, including digital platforms and crossindustry collaborations.
- Lead and manage the Commercial department staff team, inclusive of Partnerships, Marketing & Communications, and PFC, ensuring strong teamwork and collaboration, high performance, and accountability.
- Participate and contribute actively as a member of the executive leadership team and senior leadership team, supporting organizational priorities and cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in commercial strategy, sponsorships, marketing, brand management, and digital/social media.
- Experience aligning philanthropy with commercial strategy and brand.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian sports landscape and the business of sports.
- Understanding of nonprofit governance and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of CSR, ESG frameworks, and impact measurement.
- Proven track record in securing sponsorships and partnerships within a multi-sport or international environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Strong project management and strategic thinking capabilities.
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles, particularly within sports organizations or other relevant sectors.
- Experience in building and executing large-scale commercial and marketing strategies.
- Knowledge and understanding of current communications and brand trends
- Knowledge of Paralympic sport and the unique commercial opportunities it presents as an asset.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally at the National level.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both official languages (English and French).
- Strong knowledge of data analytics trends demonstrates brand value and sponsorship ROI.
Education:
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related fields. An advanced degree or professional designation is an asset.

Working Conditions:
- Role is remote with extensive travel both domestically and internationally
- Will be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods, including Games and other special events
