Are you passionate about supporting seniors to live independently, safely, and with dignity? CHATS–Community & Home Assistance to Seniors is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Board of Directors and Committees for 2026–2027.
About CHATS:
We are a leading charitable organization providing in-home support and multicultural community programs, empowering over 8,500 older adults and family caregivers across York Region and South Simcoe. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, person-centered services that offer dignity and choice for aging at home.
What You’ll Do:
- As a Board or Committee Member, you will:
- Provide strategic guidance, oversight, and governance for CHATS
- Contribute to organizational planning and development
- Share your expertise to support effective decision-making
- Advocate for seniors’ needs in our community
- Champion CHATS’ mission, vision, and values in all activities
Who We’re Looking For:
We welcome passionate individuals from all backgrounds, reflecting the cultural and gender diversity of our community—including Indigenous and other underrepresented groups. Experience in board governance, finance, audit, or quality is an asset. Successful candidates will also support fundraising activities and help build connections within our communities.
Commitment:
- Approximately 3–5 hours per month
- Must live or work in York Region or South Simcoe
