Charity Office Assistant – Summer Autism Retreat Campaign
Campaign Tagline: “100 Families. 1 Summer. A Lifetime of Hope.”
Our Mission
This summer, the Garden of Eden Autism Retreat Center, in collaboration with Chava Farm, is opening its gates to welcome 100 autistic families from Ontario who have been waiting—some for years—for a place of rest, joy, and connection. These retreats will offer therapeutic activities, nature experiences, and a safe, inclusive space for families to recharge. But to make it happen, we need the community’s support—and that’s where you come in.
The Impact You'll Make
As our Charity Office & Fundraising Assistant, you’ll be the bridge between our mission and the people who can help make it a reality. You’ll connect with donors, sponsors, and community partners, inspiring them to be part of this life-changing summer. Your organizational skills will keep our fundraising campaigns on track, and your warmth will help us build the relationships needed to fully fund retreats for all 100 families.
What You'll Do
- Welcome and engage donors, sponsors, and visitors—sharing the story of our retreats and the families we serve.
- Support the planning and execution of summer fundraising events, both at Chava Farm and in the wider community.
- Reach out to local businesses, service clubs, and organizations to secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions.
- Maintain accurate donor and sponsor records, ensuring timely thank-you letters and updates on the impact of their support.
- Assist in creating compelling fundraising materials—emails, flyers, and social media posts that highlight the retreat experience.
- Coordinate volunteers for fundraising activities and on-site retreat support.
- Manage day-to-day office operations so the team can focus on delivering an unforgettable summer for our families.
What You'll Bring
- A natural ability to connect with people and inspire generosity.
- Experience in fundraising, community outreach, customer service, or relationship management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning donor management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a warm and persuasive tone.
- A genuine passion for supporting autistic individuals and their families.
Why You'll Love It Here
- You’ll see the direct, tangible results of your work—families experiencing joy, rest, and connection because of the funds you helped raise.
- A supportive, mission-driven team that values compassion, creativity, and collaboration.
- Opportunities to grow your skills in fundraising, event coordination, and community engagement.
- Flexible work arrangements when possible.
- The satisfaction of knowing you played a pivotal role in making this summer a turning point for 100 families.
