REAson d’etre dance (RDDP) is a small charitable dance organization seeking a dedicated and financially skilled individual to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in accounting, finance, or the financial sector who is looking to gain or expand board-level experience.

About the Role
The Treasurer provides financial oversight and guidance to the organization. While day-to-day bookkeeping is managed externally by Mojisola Accounting using QuickBooks, the Treasurer is responsible for:

Reviewing budgets and financial reports

Signing off on the annual audit

Offering strategic financial insight to support the company’s growth

Board Involvement
As a full voting member of the board, the Treasurer contributes to broader organizational decisions, including:

Programming and artistic direction

Financial planning and budgeting

Organizational policy

The board meets approximately 4–6 times per year and supports one annual fundraising event.
