Cat-Loving Volunteers Desperately Needed

Rags to Riches Cat Rescue is a federally registered, volunteer-run cat rescue in Norfolk County, Ontario. With over 200 cats currently in our care, we are in urgent need of volunteers to help us continue providing safe, humane care and lifesaving support.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Fostering cats (short- or long-term; foster application required)
• Cleaning and daily care of shelter rooms and cages (food, water, sanitation) *URGENT NEED*
• Weekly offsite laundry for bedding and supplies *URGENT NEED*
• Transport (driving cats to vet appointments, foster homes, and picking up supplies)
• Grooming and socializing frightened or traumatized cats
• Photography for our website and social media
• Fundraising and donor support
• Helping at special events, including adoption events at affiliate pet stores
• Writing newsletter articles and educational content for social media and our website
• Other skills or support you may be able to offer

Volunteer age requirements:
Volunteers must be 12 years or older with a guardian supervisor, or 16 years and older without supervision.

No prior rescue experience is required. Training, guidance, and support are provided. Flexible commitments are available, and even a small amount of time can make a significant difference.
