Case Manager, Money Matters Program

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking a case manager to join a professional team providing case management for economically vulnerable people living with cancer. The Case Manager will help people navigate income replacement programs and other financial resources when faced with a cancer diagnosis.

This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. This position is primarily located at 105 Wellness Way in Toronto, and the successful candidate may choose to work 2 days at home most weeks.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and/or Master of Social Work (MSW) required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a non-profit setting, preferably related to health
• Understanding of the impact of cancer on individuals and families
• Experience with intake, assessment and management of ongoing caseloads
• Knowledge of government and workplace benefit programs would be an asset
• High degree of organization, with very good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Case Management in the Wellspring Money Matters program (training provided)
2. Participation as an integral part of the Mission Delivery staff team
3. Participation in, and encouragement of, Wellspring’s growing culture of philanthropy

Other information

• Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000
• There is no use of artificial intelligence in this hiring process beyond the Charity Village tracking system which is in place.
