About This Role

As Career Support Coordinator, you are the first and most consistent point of contact for TGC’s program participants. You are an anchor offering end-to-end support including intake, assessment, development of personalized program plans, and tracking of activities and outcomes throughout the participant’s engagement with TGC. You are our relationships person - reaching out and staying connected with warm, welcoming, inclusive service to program participants as they traverse the sometimes challenging process of career advancement and job search in a tough and fast-changing job market.

Responsibilities

Participant Progress Management

Deliver end-to-end support for TGC program participants including intake, assessment, development of personalized plans and tracking of activities and outcomes throughout.

Conduct eligibility assessments to ensure the right fit for TGC programs.

Follow up with participants who have dropped off to see what needs they have and support re-engagement where appropriate.

Manage a caseload of participants, maintaining regular and accurate records of participant progress, referrals, and outcomes.

Proactively research and identify employers, job opportunities, and sector opportunities on behalf of participants based on their goals.

Assist with delivery and logistics of program activities - courses, workshops, career events, online Slack community, etc.

Support participants with referrals to other services and agencies, when needed.

Data tracking and Reporting

Collect and safeguard necessary participant data for reporting to funders, including program activities, job search activities, career advancement activities and participant testimonials.

Maintain updated information tracking systems on all program activities, ensuring data is updated for mandatory monthly reporting requirements from federal funders.

Ensure data is effectively tracked in our CRM system and other reporting systems.

Follow up with participants who have not completed evaluations to gather feedback in other formats.

Outreach & Network Building

Attend community and employer events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to support outreach for TGC programs.

Build and maintain relationships with other agencies to provide effective inbound and outbound referrals when needed.

Participate in TGC team meetings, related projects, and strategy sessions as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with client focused case management in a social services organization.

2+ years experience working in employment support, career development or other relevant social services.

Demonstrated experience with client file documentation within a CRM or case management software (Hubspot / Salesforce etc).

Experience following organizational systems and standard intake processes.

Demonstrated experience with the principles of anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity and justice in workplace settings.

Proficiency working in fully remote environments.

Familiarity and comfort working with Google Workspace (eg. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Shared drives) and other software systems (Asana, Hubspot, Absorb LMS) an asset.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.


Work area:

Remote work from home position, located anywhere in Canada.

Work is computer based and may include lots of sitting.

Attendance at occasional in-person meetings or events is required.

Flexibility to contact participants across multiple timezones across Canada, which may include evening work hours.


Org Structure:

This position reports to Programs Manager, TGC

The position may coordinate the work of other team members and contractors (eg., event vendors)


Compensation & Contract details:

Full time, remote (40 hours a week)

$62,000 - $72,000 salary, plus a $2,000 benefits reimbursement allotment

Ideal start date of October 20, 2025

One year contract position, ending October 30, 2026, with possibility of extension based on funding

Our hiring process:

All applications will be reviewed and assessed using the criteria outlined in the job posting qualifications section (we don’t use resume scanning tools).

Follow-up interviews will be scheduled for 2-3 top candidates, these are usually one hour long and have 2-3 TGC team members present.

We provide a $50 honorarium for candidates who participate in the one hour interview.

We will follow up with all candidates to notify them when a hiring decision has been made.
