Core services include a 39-bed emergency shelter, 24/7 access to counsellors through text, live chat and telephone crisis lines, employment initiatives to help survivors become economically self-sufficient, and anti-violence intervention and prevention counselling that Redwood caseworkers bring directly to survivors living in neighbourhoods all over the GTA.

We are hiring to fill in the following existing seasonal vacancies.

1) Admin Assistant - Office

  • The Redwood is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Finance and Operations department in providing a wide assortment of administrative and general support. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to general administrative support, record-keeping, scheduling meetings, and collecting data.

2) Admin Assistant

  • The Redwood is looking for an Administrative Assistant to work with the organization’s Fundraising and Communications department. The Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Senior Director of Fundraising and Communications will assist the department in its daily administrative duties.

3) Admin Assistant

  • The Administrative Assistant will be working under direct supervision of the Senior Director, Fundraising and Communications and alongside the Senior Coordinator, Communications and Marketing. This role will support in administrative duties, participate in Redwood events, create posts for social media and other communications and marketing tasks as required.

4) Recreation Instructor

  • The Recreation Instructor will be working under the direct supervision of the Bike Club Facilitator alongside the Director of Programs and Client Services. The role will support in the delivery of The Redwood’s Bike Club program for children and youth living in the emergency shelter.

5) Event Planner

  • The Women in Trades and Technology (WITT) program is seeking an Events Planner to support events and administrative planning. The Events Planner will assist in organizing graduation events, workshops, and training sessions, as well as handling various administrative tasks. This role involves working closely with the WITT team to ensure smooth operations and successful program delivery.

6) Kitchen Helper

  • This role will be joining The Redwood’s Resident Services Department, under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Worker.

Pay: $17.60 per hour

AI technologies will not be used to screen or assess job candidates.
