We’re looking for a Business Development Associate, Partnerships to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role is a vital support position within the Partnerships team, helping to coordinate activities, maintain key processes, and ensure the smooth operation of projects that engage some of Canada’s leading corporations and organizations. You’ll play an important part in advancing partnerships that fund transformative programs, events, and student initiatives at Indspire. Whether Indigenous or non- Indigenous, we invite candidates who are committed to reconciliation, education, and allyship, and who are eager to use their administrative and organizational expertise to contribute to meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you’ll be:
• Providing administrative and program support to the Director, Partnerships and
broader partnerships team
• Supporting the Director in managing the donor pipeline by tracking upcoming
solicitations, logging activity and identifying next steps
• Preparing briefing materials for partner meetings, including background research
and summary information; tracking post-meeting tasks and follow-up
• Assisting with drafting proposals, agreements and reports
• Scheduling team meetings, recording action items, and tracking progress toward
deliverables
• Maintaining and updating proposal content, templates and website information

• Assisting with research, data requests and implementing best practices
• Utilizing project management software (e.g., Asana) to improve workflow and
ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Providing support to Business Development Associate colleague during peak
periods prior to events
• Creating and maintaining revenue trackers for Partnership team, particularly
regarding invoices and payments
• Updating donor records and inputting actions in Raiser’s Edge; generating
reports to support tracking, analysis and planning
• Drafting and managing partnership communication, including a regular newsletter
• Assisting in developing and maintaining procedures, onboarding materials and
documentation of best practices for business functions
• Preparing and submitting expense reports
• Supporting special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Completion of a three-year post-secondary education in fundraising, business
administration or a related field
• Minimum four years of experience in an administrative or development support
role, preferably in a non-profit or fundraising environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint), SharePoint, Asana, and Raisers Edge NXT.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple
priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions focused mindset
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all
levels of the organization
• Ability to exercise discretion, judgment, and professionalism
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; able to work independently.
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities and issues is an asset.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Willingness to travel within Canada and between Six Nations and Toronto offices
• Availability to work occasional evening and weekends
