Bus Attendant - Seniors' Program

Volunteer Job Summary

The Volunteer Bus Attendant will accompany our bus driver to assist with the seniors’ grocery shopping trips on Mondays from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This role contributes to the overall effectiveness and success of our services for seniors, helping them to stay connected to their community and linking them with other beneficial community supports. The Volunteer Bus Attendant reports to our Seniors Program Supervisor.

Responsibilities of the Volunteer Bus Attendant

• Works with our seniors’ team to plan, deliver and promote our bus programs.
• Oversee, and actively participate in planned program activities for our bus trips.
• Provide assistance to help seniors safely on and off the bus
• Ensure bus trips operate in accordance with current health and safety requirements.
• Assist driver with navigation during bus trips.
• Monitor program effectiveness, and in consultation with the Program Supervisor, adjusts programming content as required.
